Custom Induced Tumor Model Services: From Target Validation to IND

Induced Tumor Models are essential for mimicking the initiation, progression, and therapeutic response of human malignancies. Unlike standard cell-line grafts, induced models—whether driven by specific oncogenes, chemical carcinogens, or direct patient tissues—provide a highly controllable environment to study tumor biology and evaluate novel therapeutics. Alfa Cytology provides a comprehensive suite of induced modeling services. By integrating CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, chemical carcinogenesis, and PDX-AI translation platforms, we empower pharmaceutical partners to validate targets and screen drug candidates with unprecedented clinical relevance.

Advanced Modeling Technologies for Precision Oncology

Our suite of induction technologies is engineered to replicate clinical disease progression with industrial-grade precision:

CRISPR/Cas9 & iPSC-Based Genetic Platforms

Integration of gene editing with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) enables bottom-up modeling of oncogenic driver mutations (e.g., KRAS, TP53, RB1) in relevant cellular contexts. This platform supports isogenic comparison and early-stage target validation from the earliest phases of tumorigenesis.

Standardized Chemical Carcinogenesis

Utilizing potent carcinogens like Diethylnitrosamine (DEN) to establish orthotopic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in rats. These models reach a 48%-50% tumor necrosis rate within 8-11 weeks, making them ideal for interventional studies like TACE.

Patient-Derived (PDX/PDTX) Induction

Direct transplantation of patient tumor tissues to preserve the original 3D architecture and genetic heterogeneity. Our PDX platforms support Biomarker Discovery and personalized "co-clinical" trial designs (1-patient-1-model).

Synergistic "In Vitro-to-In Vivo" Pipeline

A dual-track workflow utilizing PDX-derived organoids (PDXO) for high-throughput drug pre-screening, followed by validation in paired in vivo metastatic models to confirm systemic PK/PD and efficacy.
