Alfa Cytology - Cancer Drug R&D Services

Exosome-Based Biomarker Discovery Service

Inquiry

In the era of precision medicine, early cancer detection, dynamic monitoring, and therapeutic response prediction represent the core challenges of clinical oncology. Exosomes carry a rich "fingerprint" of proteins, nucleic acids, and metabolites, positioning them as one of the most promising star targets in the liquid biopsy landscape. Alfa Cytology's exosome-based biomarker discovery service provides you with an end-to-end solution, from sample to biomarker validation, empowering you to efficiently and precisely extract molecular markers with true clinical translational value from complex biological specimens, and accelerating your oncology R&D pipeline.

Introduction to Exosome-Based Biomarker Discovery

Exosomes are 30–150 nm membrane-bound extracellular vesicles produced in the endosomal compartments of most eukaryotic cells. They are widely present in various biofluids, including blood, urine, and cerebrospinal fluid, and serve as important mediators of intercellular communication. In oncology, tumor-derived exosomes reflect the molecular characteristics of their parent cells and circulate stably in biofluids, positioning them as exceptional candidates for non-invasive diagnostics, prognosis assessment, and therapeutic monitoring. The multiple molecular cargos they carry, including DNA, RNA, proteins, and lipids, can be analyzed simultaneously, substantially increasing the throughput and efficiency of biomarker discovery. Furthermore, tumor-derived exosomes may exhibit differences in size, morphology, and marker expression compared to their cells of origin, harboring critical information that can be leveraged for early detection, stage classification, and prediction of treatment response. Therefore, exosome-based biomarker discovery is emerging as a powerful tool to accelerate the advancement of precision oncology.

Our Services

Alfa Cytology provide an end-to-end, customizable exosome-based biomarker discovery service tailored to your specific oncology research needs. Our service is specifically designed for preclinical drug development, covering the entire workflow of exosome-based biomarker discovery, from efficient isolation and purification, rigorous characterization and quality control, to multi-omics profiling and bioinformatics mining, ultimately delivering candidate biomarkers with clinical translational potential.

Exosome Isolation & Purification

We employ a comprehensive suite of isolation technologies, including ultracentrifugation, size exclusion chromatography (SEC), immunoaffinity capture, and automated high-throughput systems, to ensure high-purity exosome recovery from diverse sample types, including plasma, serum, urine, saliva, CSF, and cell culture supernatants. The optimal isolation method is selected and customized based on your sample matrix and downstream application requirements.

Multi-Omics Profiling

Our multi-omics platform delivers deep molecular characterization of exosomes from multiple dimensions: miRNA sequencing and total RNA sequencing for nucleic acid biomarker identification; high-resolution LC-MS/MS for untargeted and targeted proteomics analysis; and comprehensive lipidomics and metabolomics services to decode exosomal lipid and metabolite profiles and uncover novel pathway signatures.

Exosome Characterization & QC

We implement rigorous quality control procedures for every exosome preparation to ensure integrity and purity. Our characterization pipeline includes NTA (particle size distribution and concentration), TEM (morphological assessment), Western blotting for detection of canonical exosomal markers (CD9, CD63, CD81, TSG101, ALIX), and flow cytometry for additional phenotypic profiling.

Bioinformatics & Data Interpretation

Our dedicated bioinformatics team provides integrated analysis of multi-omics data, including pathway mapping, statistical validation, and biomarker identification. We deliver customized reports that translate complex datasets into actionable biological insights, precisely aligned with your research objectives.
