Cell Model for Pancreatic Cancer

Cell Model for Pancreatic Cancer

Bioengineering techniques are increasingly applied to the design and construction of personalized models to understand the unique biology of pancreatic cancer (PC) and to facilitate research on new therapeutic targets. Alfa Cytology is dedicated to helping researchers and professionals get insight into pancreatic cancer in an efficient, cost-effective, and effective manner. We are now offering in vitro preclinical models of pancreatic cancer, including 2D cell lines and 3D spheroids.

Introduction to Cell Model

2D cell culture can be applied to mimic the signals from the tumor microenvironment (TME) tumor by co-culturing cancer cells with stromal cells. The resistance in pancreatic cancer cells to commonly used therapies is a major challenge in therapy development. pancreatic cancer resistance cell models are essential to study the underlying processes that lead to therapy failure, gain insights into the molecular pathways underlying the development of resistance, and identify potential targets for overcoming pancreatic cancer resistance.

The high invasiveness makes pancreatic cancer therapy development more difficult. The pancreatic cancer metastatic cell model consists of cells that exhibit a metastatic phenotype and is used to study the complex mechanisms of pancreatic cancer spread to distant parts of the body. Using this cell model, it is possible to explore the molecular pathways and biological processes that drive metastasis, identify key factors that influence cancer cell migration and invasion, and develop targeted interventions to inhibit metastatic progression in pancreatic cancer.

Our Services

Newly established pancreatic cancer cell lines may provide sufficient models for studying pancreatic cancer's broader biological and molecular features. We have established cell culture-based tumor cell isolation and expansion methods for further molecular and functional testing, including in vitro 2D and 3D culture systems.

Pancreatic Cancer Resistant Cell Model

The pancreatic cancer-resistant cell model is a pioneering tool designed to study the mechanisms of drug resistance in pancreatic cancer. Alfa Cytology provides a unique opportunity to advance the understanding of therapeutic resistance and advance more effective therapeutic strategies for pancreatic cancer.

Pancreatic Cancer Metastatic Cell Model

The pancreatic cancer metastatic cell model is a complex platform designed to study the metastatic behavior of pancreatic cancer cells. The pancreatic cancer metastatic cell model provided by Alfa Cytology is an important tool for advancing the understanding of pancreatic cancer metastasis and developing new therapeutic strategies to combat this aggressive disease.

Coculture Multiple Cells for Pancreatic Cancer

Co-culture cell models can be of different forms depending on research objectives and downstream uses, including modeling various pathological conditions, such as the different stages of tumor invasion and metastasis. Alfa Cytology offers co-culture of pancreatic cancer cells with other supportive stromal cells, and additional co-culture models are available upon request.

  • pancreatic cancer cells and endothelial cells
  • pancreatic cancer cells and fibroblast
  • pancreatic cancer cells and immune cells
  • pancreatic cancer cells and stem cells

2D Pancreatic Cancer Cell Line

pancreatic cancer cell lines are characterized by specific mutations, including KRAS, p53, p16, and SMAD4, and can be derived from different sites in patient and murine tumors. We offer pancreatic cancer cell line establishment and characterization services to help researchers and professionals to confirm therapeutic efficacy or identify additional options. Our pancreatic cancer cell lines can greatly assist in screening for genes that promote pancreatic cancer migration and survival as well as chemo- or radio-resistance in the preclinical setting.
