IPS-Qualified Basement Membrane Matrix, Phenol Red-Free

Cat. No.: BMMO-2603-CXX-009

Description: Matrigel is a solubilized basement membrane organogel obtained from mouse tumor tissue, replicating the native basement membrane that forms a stromal layer on the basal surface of animal epithelial cells. Its principal components are laminin, collagen IV, and heparan sulfate proteoglycans. Additionally, this matrix contains an assortment of growth factors, including epidermal growth factor (EGF), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF), transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β), nerve growth factor (NGF), basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2), and insulin-like growth factor (IGF).

Size 1.5 mL×4

Application

Applications This product supports the feeder-free expansion and maintenance of human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).

Storage & Handling

Product Characteristics This product is liquid at 4°C but forms a gel when heated to 37°C. Once solidified, the Matrigel can liquefy again if returned to 4°C overnight.
Storage It is recommended that the product be aliquoted into single-use portions immediately after the first thaw and stored at -80°C for up to 2 years.
Shipping Information Shipping with dry ice.
Notes As this matrix gel solidifies when the temperature exceeds 10°C, it is essential to keep it on ice at all times during handling. To release organoids during passaging without exposing them to enzymes, gently pipette the gel using a pre-chilled basal culture medium (4°C).
