Human Liver Model

Cat. No.: ROOC-2603-CXX-002

Description: Drug-induced liver injury (DILI), damage caused by drugs or their metabolites, is among the most frequent serious adverse drug reactions and a leading cause of trial failures. Three-dimensional models using human primary hepatocytes (PHHs) provide an ideal in vitro platform for evaluating hepatotoxicity, metabolic enzyme induction and inhibition, and drug metabolism.

Product Details

Advantages Relative to 2D PHH cultures, the 3D PHH microfluidic model demonstrates enhanced viability, with cell health continuing to improve throughout this period. This 3D system also exhibits more physiologically relevant liver function, supporting higher and stable albumin and urea production. Furthermore, CYP450 enzyme expression is significantly upregulated in the 3D model compared to 2D, and enzyme activity remains stable during extended culture.
