Introduction of Antibodies

Antibodies, also known as immunoglobulins, are produced after antigens stimulate B cells to differentiate into plasma cells. Antibody is a Y-shaped molecule consisting of two light chains and two heavy chains. According to the Fc region of the heavy chain of the antibody, antibodies can be divided into five categories, namely IgA, IgG, IgM, IgD, and IgE. Antibodies can be used as a biopharmaceutical product for diagnostic testing and as an analytical tool for detection, mainly in Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry, immunoprecipitation, mass spectrometry, etc.
